areeba, a leading electronic payments company in Iraq, has announced the opening of its first “areeba store” in the country to showcase its digital payments solutions for individuals and businesses, and offer customer service support.
Located in Sulaymaniyah, Erbil, this first store marks the beginning of a gradual expansion, with additional locations planned for various cities and governorates across Iraq to extend areeba’s reach and serve a wider customer base.
The “areeba store” concept is designed to create a multipurpose space where potential customers can apply for products such as POS machines, online payment gateways, and zaky cards.
Issam Adra, General Manager of areeba Iraq, highlighted: “We are thrilled to announce the launch of our first store in Iraq, one of the largest markets in the Middle East. The opening of the areeba store represents a significant milestone in our expansion strategy within the Iraqi market. These stores provide a valuable opportunity for face-to-face interactions, allowing us to better address the unique needs of Iraqi customers. This initiative aligns with the Central Bank of Iraq’s vision for expanding access to financial services and driving the transition towards digital payments.”
areeba is also committed to introducing innovative digital payment services to support the digitization of the Iraqi economy.
